1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage. Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), storing or accessing information on a user’s device generally requires consent, unless a PECR exception applies.

2. What this website uses

The website code was checked on 23 October 2026. This website’s own code does not set first-party cookies and does not write to local storage or session storage for analytics, advertising, preferences or cookie-notice persistence.

There are no analytics trackers, advertising pixels or marketing cookies in the site files (for example Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar or Umami). Fonts are self-hosted; pages do not call Google Fonts.

A previous version of this site stored a preference named stavros_cookie_consent. That mechanism has been removed. A small script clears any leftover value if it is still present in your browser from an earlier visit.

3. Cookie information notice

A short information bar may appear at the bottom of pages. It explains that the site does not intentionally use analytics or advertising cookies, based on the current website code. It includes a “Got it” button that only dismisses the bar for the current page view. Dismissal is not stored in a cookie, local storage or session storage, so the notice can appear again when you load another page or revisit the site.

That bar is an information notice, not a consent request. Because the site does not currently use cookies or similar storage technologies that require PECR consent, there is no cookie-settings panel and no “accept cookies” control.

If optional cookies or similar technologies are added later, this policy will be updated first, and those technologies will not run until valid consent is obtained where PECR requires it.

4. Other technologies (not first-party cookies)

Hosting: Hostinger may process technical request logs (such as IP address and requested URLs). That is separate from first-party cookies set by this website. See the Privacy Policy.

Third-party embeds: This website does not currently embed third-party videos, maps, chat widgets or advertising frames that would set their own cookies on page load.

Your browser or network may still store technical data outside this website’s control (for example DNS or TLS session state). Those are not cookies set by this website’s pages.
